The Hangover

The Hangover

Pretty funny movie. Hopefully this will launch Zach Galifianakis into superstardom. He’s a hilarious comic and the best part of this movie.

Second Skin

Second Skin

The best documentary I have seen so far on gaming culture and World Of Warcraft in particular. You can watch it for free right now on Hulu.

Valkyrie

Valkyrie

Surprisingly tense movie even though you know how it will end. The dvd has a great documentary about the real events worth checking out.

Brüno

Brüno

Really funny even though it seemed much more scripted than Borat. My favorite bit was the overly-eager stage mothers pimping out their kids.

G.I. Joe : Resolute

G.I. Joe : Resolute

This wasn’t anything like the cartoon I remember from the 80s and that’s a good thing. Writer Warren Ellis has made the Joes cool again.

Observe And Report

Observe And Report

Dark, dark comedy. You must give Seth Rogen a lot of credit for making you sympathize with a completely unlikable character.

I Love You, Man

I Love You, Man

Decent comedy with some laugh out loud jokes. Some really funny actors and actresses show up in supporting roles.

The International

The International

Splinter

Splinter

A surprisingly good little independent horror film. I really enjoyed the filmmaker’s use of mostly practical effects over tons of bad cgi.

That’s a good question, one I found asking myself recently as I began the yearly task of reorganizing my dvd collection. Usually I would end up have a box or two of new dvds that needed to be sorted and inserted into my ever expanding wall of dvds. But staring at this year’s pile sitting on my living room floor I knew something had to be done to stop this madness. I have a lot of...

Knowing

Knowing

I was wondering why I was wasting time watching this movie until it took a very interesting and unexpected turn in the the last 30 minutes.

Adventureland

Adventureland

About 20 minutes too long and not as funny as I was expecting it to be from the trailer. That said, I still liked this movie quite a bit.

Surveillance

Surveillance

Three stories intersect during a horrific highway crash.  Even though I figured it out pretty early this was still a good little thriller.
