Starship Troopers: Terran Command (2022) – ★★★

Impresses with its stunning graphics and meticulous attention to detail, faithfully capturing the essence of the established universe. However, the game could benefit from more variety in gameplay, as the repetitive missions can make it feel monotonous over time.

As Dusk Falls (2022) – ★★★

The first adventure game I can remember where your choices actually matter and people can have wildly different stories than you. It’ll be fun talking about this game and comparing notes.

The Gardens Between, 2018

I really enjoyed the time shift mechanics and the clever ways the game used it. They story was also heartfelt and relatable.

Call of Duty: WWII, 2017

Nothing new storywise that I haven’t played over and over again for the last 20 years, but I have to say the game sure looked gorgeous in 4K HDR.

Battlefield 4

I didn’t have much fun playing this game. Even on the “easy” setting the game was brutally unforgiving. The plot was equally confusing.

The Wolf Among Us

I never gave the comics series much thought, but this game was so good I will have to start reading. I can’t wait for season 2 to come out.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth

So much fun! Any fan of the show owes it to themselves to play this game. Trey Parker & Matt Stone never disappoint.

Saints Row IV, 2013 – ★★★★

I had a blast playing through this game. The superpowers were so much fun I don’t know how you can top them in a sequel, but Jane Austen is a good start.

Halo 4

The graphics and multiplayer are great, but the story is an incomprehensible mess that requires you to have read all their novels. Poor design choice.

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead

Amazing game based on the comic series. Split-second decisions have major consequences. Rarely have I been so emotionally involved in a game.

Battlefield 3

Game looks great but the single player campaign is unoriginal and forgettable. Multiplayer on the other hand is fun. The maps are gigantic.

Batman : Arkham Asylum

One of the best superhero games I’ve ever played. The fighting mechanic is so fun and satisfying. Also, the first game to actually creep me out.

Portal : Still Alive

I’m really late to this whole Portal thing. Better late than never. What a terrific game. The later test chambers really make you think.
