LATEST STUFF

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, 2010

A horror movie that unfolds like an episode of Three’s Company where everything is just one big misunderstanding. Had some funny death scenes.

Insidious, 2010

Pretty effective and creepy Pg-13 horror movie. Would have probably been a lot of fun to see with a full theater.

Paul, 2011

I really wanted to like it, but it was kind of lame. I liked it more than HOT FUZZ, but not nearly as much as SHAUN OF THE DEAD.

Stake Land, 2010

Vampire apocalypse as an art house drama. It completely blew me away. Top notch baddassery from star and co-writer Nick Damici.

X-Men: First Class, 2011

Recaptured the fun of the first 2 movies. Fassbender completely ruled as Magneto. Also had the best use of the F-word I’ve ever seen.

Hobo with a Shotgun, 2011

Real fun and bloody homage to the grindhouse movies of the 1970s. Rutger Hauer was born to play this role. And did I mention the blood?

We Are What We Are, 2013

Glossy but ultimately boring movie about a family of cannibals trying to find their way when their father drops dead on the street.

Super, 2010

Another take on the average guy becoming a masked vigilante. Had some funny parts, mostly Ellen Page, but I’ll take Kick-Ass anyday instead.

Rammbock: Berlin Undead, 2010

Decent and thankfully short zombie movie from Germany. We’ll never understand why the guy was wearing the bear suit in bed will we?

I Saw the Devil, 2010

Surprisingly awesome revenge tale from the director of A TALE OF TWO SISTERS. So many great twists and turns. Seek this one out!

Amer, 2009

Incredibly interesting throwback to the 1970s giallo films of Dario Argento. I’m sure I’ll be watching this movie many more times very soon.

Hobo With A Shotgun, 2011

Real fun and bloody homage to the grindhouse movies of the 1970s. Rutger Hauer was born to play this role. And did I mention the blood?

Mystery Team, 2009

Derrick Comedy‘s first full length movie has a bunch of really funny jokes, but by 45 minutes into the movie I was ready for it to be over.
