The Last Blockbuster, 2020
I worked for Blockbuster during the heyday years of 1994-2004. That was the most fun I’ve ever had working. Nothing was better than having customers looking for you for a movie suggestion or two.

It’s been a pretty good year for trashy fun action movies. This one had a bonkers performance from Russell Crowe and some brutal violence. I hope they can make a sequel fast.
An interesting look behind the scenes of Sega’s fight to the top and eventual downfall. I’d love to see a sequel to bring us up to modern day game systems especially the Xbox One fiasco.
One of the grossest things I have ever seen. Thanks Fantastic Fest for scarring me forever.
There might be a good movie in here somewhere but the two leads were so irritating to me I couldn’t enjoy the movie.
Very disturbing movie once you stop and think about what is really going on. I dig movies where the protagonist makes all the right decisions but the killer stays one step ahead of them.
Thank you Fantastic Fest for shining a light on this gem. Fun from beginning to end. Some of those explosives were wildly dangerous and I love it all.
A gender swapped version of MANIAC that I really enjoyed. It’s hard to make your killers sympathetic but Najarra Townsend really pulled it off.
This movie is a hard pass for horror fans. I’ve never seen a werewolf movie where you actually never see the werewolf. Bizarre.
Laughably bad most of the time but I still really liked this movie. I kind of gave up trying to figure it out and just enjoyed the wild Nic Cage ride.
The rules of these vampires were kind of all over the place and that really annoys me in movies. Too many dreams within dreams too.
I wish more super serious relationship movies had a monster in them. It spices it up.
