Death Note, 2017

Pretty decent remake. Could have been about 30 minutes longer to give some of the scenes room to breath. I loved the score.

The Mummy, 2017

Completely forgettable. A bad copy of a copy of the dozen or so better movies it ripped off. The worst kind of movie in my book.

John Wick: Chapter 2, 2017

Another fun trip through the ultra violent world of John Wick. I could watch this stuff every day. Can’t wait for Chapter 3!

War for the Planet of the Apes, 2017

A fitting end to one of, if not the best reboot trilogies I can think of. Andy Serkis’ work in this movie is just on a whole new level. I hope they find a way to keep the series going on and on.

It Stains the Sands Red, 2016

Enjoyable and creative zombie movie. The lead actress was very good but I just wish the zombie makeups were a little more detailed.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2017

Spider-Man is fun again! I loved all the tie-ins to the previous MCU movies and I felt Keaton’s Vulture was the most relatable villain yet in one of these movies.

The Lego Batman Movie, 2017

Lots of laughs and in-jokes for comic book/superhero movie fans. Nothing made me laugh harder than seeing Zan, Jayna, and Gleek.

Doc of the Dead, 2014

A good zombie history lesson if you are new to the genre. I wish it spent more time on some more lesser known movies.

Morgan, 2016

I don’t know if this movie was trying to be more like EX MACHINA or SPECIES. All I know is that way too much talent was wasted on screen for this boring of a movie.

24×36, 2016

I wish the filmmakers spent more time on classic poster history rather than mostly focusing on the new wave of Mondo inspired posters.

Life, 2017

I’m a sucker for sci-fi horror movies. For the most part the characters acted the way you expect scientists would act (I’m looking at you Prometheus). Cool creature designs and a fun ending. Overall it was pretty good.
