Tenet, 2020
All plot, no story. There’s a kernel of a cool idea in here but Nolan tries to deliver it in bursts of mumbled exposition dumps and flashy but dull action set pieces.

An unintentionally funny early 80s horror movie with an actually pretty cool looking monster.
I’m a big Happy Death Day fan and I was really expecting this new movie to be funnier than it was.
This was a 2.5 hour slog the first time I watched it but it was downright enjoyable this time watching it with the new Joe Bob Briggs commentary track.
I learned a lot of interesting things about the making of the notorious horror classic.
Part 1 was amazing and 2 was just as good. I hope they finish the trilogy.
I didn’t really like the first one so all the call backs to the original did nothing for me.
I feel like they just skimmed the surface and didn’t dive deeper into this interesting subject.
They thought they were making the “most brutal movie ever”, all they did was make a completely boring Last House on the Left ripoff with a super “edgy” but laughable ending.
I’m sure I saw this back when it came out. Watching it again I understand why I can’t remember anything about it. Totally forgettable.
