Unbreakable, 2000
I haven’t watched this since it’s initial release and I was shocked by how much this movie annoyed me. The sluggish pace and Shyamalan’s endless showing off drove me crazy. And the title cards at the end are just ridiculous.

I’ve warmed up a bit to this movie since its initial release. Magneto has the most interesting story arc here by far. I totally forgot about The Weapon X segment and that gave me a good laugh.
I really enjoyed this re-watch. There’s some very interesting ideas at play and it bums me out that we’ll never get to see the final chapter to David’s story now since Disney bought Fox.
Probably the mostly aptly named movie ever made. Stephen Groo has earned his place in history right next to Mark Borchardt – two guys with ambitions that outpace their budgets.
The story never really grabbed me but the look of the film was very good.
I really like Farmiga and Wilson in these roles. These films just need to be about 30 minutes shorter, they just tend to drag on a little too long for me.
I never realized how prolific Cohen was before watching this. He had his hands in so many different projects over the last 50 years its pretty amazing.
I know they filmmakers played fast and loose with some facts and timelines and I really don’t care. Freddie Mercury was and always be the best frontman ever.
The cast was so good you almost forgot these characters were all terrible people. Nobody can convey such a sense of pity or terror with a single look like Benicio Del Toro. That guy is insanely good.
Definitive proof that Bruce is the best. I’m so happy Netflix filmed and released this show because there was no way I would have been able to see it otherwise.
