Monsters

Monsters

Not exactly what I was expecting, but that’s a good thing. Pretty good movie and it is hard to believe they made it for only $15,000.

30 Days Of Horror 2

What’s the worst part of any zombie movie? It eventually ends. In preparation for AMC’s new original series “The Walking Dead”, based on Robert Kirkman’s best-selling comic book series, I will be reviewing a different zombie movie everyday for the entire month of October. 31 movies in 31 days. That’s...

Fear Dot Com

Fear Dot Com

Often cited as one of the best horror films of the 2000s, I just don’t get it. Nothing more than a lame rip-off of the much better “The Ring”.

Klute

Klute

Jane Fonda won a Oscar for her portrayal of a call girl in this classic murder mystery from 1971. Donald Sutherland was awesome as always.

Afterschool

Afterschool

Bleak high school drama in the vein of Elephant and Kids. It does a great job of sucking you into this world of morally bankrupt teenagers.

The Experiment

The Experiment

Boring remake of “Das Experiment” which is based on the 1971 Stanford prison experiment. I now understand why it went straight to dvd.

The Searchers

The Searchers

Beautiful looking film from legendary director John Ford. You can see its influence in movies like Star Wars and Taxi Driver.

Resident Evil : Afterlife

Resident Evil : Afterlife

Hot chicks doing cool things (mostly in slo-mo) pretty much sums it up. Paul W.S. Anderson is the undisputed king of highly polished schlock.

The Girl Who Played With Fire

The Girl Who Played With Fire

The central mystery in this movie was almost as good as the one in the first movie. Noomi Rapace is really fantastic in this series.

Call Of Duty: World At War

Not nearly as fun to play as some of the other games in the series. I could hardly take 3 steps without someone throwing a grenade at me.

Frozen

Frozen

Three friends are left stranded on a ski lift – then things get worse. I really liked this movie, it reminded me a lot of  The Ruins.
