The Lodge, 2019
Heavy on atmosphere, light on plot. Good performances all around. Just needs about 15 minutes cut out of the middle to tighten it up.

Borrows heavily from Evil Dead 2. Takes a while to get going but there’s a lot of fun to be had with the makeup effects.
I really liked this movie. The only problem I had with the movie is that I wish it spent more time with the main characters before everything went haywire. The world the filmmakers and actors built was so interesting I wanted more.
Some great action scenes surrounding a so-so plot. The standout has to be the extended, no cuts car/foot chase in the beginning of the movie.
Sardu and Ralphus are great characters but this movie kind of drags. No real plot, just scene after scene.
One of the great 80s classics. Lots of fun and a breeze to watch. Plus you get the second best head explosion ever.
A beautifully shot “awful teenagers” movie. The over lapping story line idea was a good idea, I just wish there was a better story to tell.
I’m always down for a Peter Berg movie but this one just didn’t do it for me.
Typical Vin Diesel trashy fun. The action scene in the tunnel full of spilled flour was pretty freaking cool.
Even Robbie’s manic performance couldn’t even help this sad excuse of a movie. The only positive thing to mention is that delicious looking egg sandwich.
I was not prepared for how awesome this movie was. Every couple of minutes there was something so ridiculous happening I couldn’t help loving this movie.
A fresh and fun take on the classic story. I hope Blumhouse takes this same formula and applies it to the other classic monsters.
Never heard of this series before stumbling across it on Youtube and now I can’t get enough.
