Dungeons & Dragons, 2000 – ★
Hard to believe this came out in 2000 when everything about it screams 1990. I can’t stand it when all of a movie’s costumes look brand new. Weather them up a little bit, make them look worn in.

This movie answers the age old question of “What if GWAR made a movie?” This movie is a total blast from the beginning all the way through the 90’s style rap song that sums up the entire movie playing through the credits. Every movie could use one of those songs.
A weird but effective mashup of John Wick and an old folk tale. Lots of fun.
A very thorough exploration of the Synthwave genre. It gave me so many more bands to check out.
Very slickly made and interesting story. I wish they would have went with more pratical effects instead of so much CGI.
It starts off as a pretty good family drama then it turns into a really good family thriller.
Some genuinely creepy imagery and scenes and one of the craziest comb-overs you’ll ever see.
More movies need to hire this one’s in-movie commentator. He was great amd the movie was a lot of fun too.
Nothing really felt authentic to the 80’s metal and Satanic Panic influences they were shooting for.
More straight-forward then some of the other Benson & Moorhead movies, but one that I’m sure has more to discover with each viewing.
