The Ritual, 2017
A better Blair Witch sequel than the one that came out in 2016. One of the creepiest creature designs in a long, long time.
Future Shock! The Story of 2000AD, 2014
I never read these comics before so this was a pretty informative documentary. I was surprised how many talented writers and artists came out of this one comic series.
Justice League, 2017
A real rush job from start to finish. Barely anything had time to sink in before running off to the next scene. On a positive note, it was nice to finally see Cavill having some fun playing Superman after 2 movies of doom and gloom.
The Cloverfield Paradox, 2018
If you take out the Cloverfield universe connections all you are left with is a run of the mill sci-fi movie. Star Trek: Discovery is handling multiverses so much better right now.
A Futile & Stupid Gesture, 2018
A hugely talented cast misused in a run of the mill bio-pic. Check out the 2015 documentary “Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead” instead.
The Gamechangers, 2015
There’s an interesting story to be had here but this movie is all surface level. Everyone speaks in sound bites.
Wish Upon, 2017
I doubt the filmmakers intended this movie to be so funny. You have teenagers speaking like a 70 year old man wrote the script. Worst part is you can tell everyone involved thought this movie was going to be the next big thing. Highly recommended for fans of so bad...
The Shape of Water, 2017
GDT is truly one of our greatest working filmmakers. There wasn’t a weak link in the entire cast. A really lovely and romantic film.
Jigsaw, 2017
Just a loose series of barely interesting things happening. I always love how pompous these movies are especially in the big last 5 minute reveals.
The Florida Project, 2017
Wow, this was some movie. Bria Vinaite was amazing in her first acting job holding her own with William Dafoe. The kids were adorable little monsters.
Happy Death Day, 2017
Interesting premise, might have been better if it was rated R. Every time something good was going to happen they had to pull back.
I, Tonya, 2017
Who knew a figure skating version of Goodfellas would be so entertaining? Margot Robbie was fantastic but Paul Hauser stole every scene he was in.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, 2017
A top notch cast and terrific story. Why isn’t Sam Rockwell in more movies?
Blade Runner 2049, 2017
All looks and a boring detective story. Pretty much how I feel about the original movie too.
