Street Trash, 1987
There’s so much going on but yet there’s nothing going on for long stretches. When the movie finally gets goopy it’s a blast.

I was really onboard until the last 15 minutes or so. It really lost me when it got to the “why” everything was happening. Very cool practical robot suit tho.
Deeply disturbing short film by one of my new favorite directors Ari Aster. I can not wait for Midsommar in August.
Fun expansion of the first movie. I actually hope they get to make a third one. I’m still mad that these movies are not Rated R.
I liked it but I was wondering why the main character just didn’t tell the authorities about this giant crater she found in the woods. It would have saved a lot of time and aggravation.
If nobody told you otherwise you would think this giallo inspired thriller was from the 1970s. They had every little nuance down pat. I was kind of distracted by the look of the film. It kind of looked like some grain filters added to something shot on video tape instead of film. I don’t know if this was intentional or not.
Tons of great buildup with kind of a dud ending. Maybe it would play better on a second viewing knowing what to expect this time.
Another fantastic all-out insane action movie. The stunts and fight choreography are simple amazing. Hard to believe nobody got seriously injured.
Not bad. Jeffrey Combs was hamming it up as usual. The end was just kind of a let down.
There’s a germ of a good movie idea in here. First take some more time developing the anti Airbnb family from the hotel. Then double or triple the amount of friends at the bachelorette party so there’s more people to kill.
Goofy monster movie fun. The practical boar was pretty cool but the cgi was pretty hilarious.
I had no idea what to expect and I was pretty blown away by all the weird twists and turns. Allison Williams is quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses.
A great setup and menacing performance by Jeremy Holm. I just didn’t feel the overall story was on the same level.
I love when a movie twists all the typical horror movie tropes and creates something new. Yet another great reason to subscribe to Shudder.
