Portal : Still Alive

I’m really late to this whole Portal thing. Better late than never. What a terrific game. The later test chambers really make you think.

Halo : Reach

One of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. I was never a big Halo guy, but the epic battles, amazing graphics and brutal AI won me over.

Homefront

The developers seemed to put all of their time into the setup and forgot that you need interesting characters too. Should have been great.

Megamind : Ultimate Showdown

Sometimes you’ll play a game just for the easy 1000 points it will add to your Gamerscore. This was one of those games.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

A true bad-ass simulator. So much fun to play and the story was by far the best of the series. The MP will keep me busy for the next year.

Medal Of Honor

Controversy aside, this was a pretty fun and intense shooter. I just wish there were more Tier 1 operative missions in the game.

Call Of Duty: World At War

Not nearly as fun to play as some of the other games in the series. I could hardly take 3 steps without someone throwing a grenade at me.

Limbo

Exhibit A in the defense of the “video games can never be art” debate. If you don’t have the means to experience it I would suggest YouTube.

Battlefield : Bad Company 2

Most FPS are very heavy-handed and serious so I really enjoyed this game’s sense of humor. Solid online multiplayer only adds to the fun.

Blacklight : Tango Down

Great graphics for a downloadable online-only title, but I couldn’t manage to stay alive long enough to figure out what was going on.

50 Cent : Blood On The Sand

Licensed games are never this good. I had such a fun time playing this game even with its daffy plot and ridiculous premise. Worth a rental.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

A fun button mashing action game based on the “Civil War” storyline from Marvel Comics. Lots of characters to choose from kept things fun.
