Killing Ground, 2016
Added a few new twists to the “couple hiking in the woods” genre. I liked it a lot.
Leatherface, 2017
Yet another remake. I’ve lost count now how many times they have done this same story. There’s no more story to tell here. Please stop.
Terrifier, 2017
Brutal and hilarious. The 80s look to the film was very cool. I can’t wait for more Art the Clown.
Moebius, 2013
One of the worst movies I’ve seen recently. The no dialogue gimmick made this 90 minute movie feel like 3 hours. It had one good thing though – knife whacking.
Never Hike Alone, 2017
Quite enjoyable and well made fan film. I don’t know why the studios can’t figure out how to get a new Friday the 13th out in theaters.
Victor Crowley, 2017
The best Hatchet movie by a long shot. Funny and over the top violence. I can’t wait for more!
Hellraiser: Judgment, 2018
Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The middle 45 minutes were a total bore but the end was pretty good.
Jeepers Creepers 3, 2017
I’m a big proponent of horror movies taking place during the day and somehow this turd of a movie even screwed that up. The Creeper is just laughable out in broad daylight.
Inside, 2016
A lifeless remake of one of my favorite horror films of the 2000s. I’ve liked Vivas’ other movies quite a bit so this was a major disappointment.
A Quiet Place, 2018
I really enjoyed this movie. They managed to keep the silence gimmick going for most of the movie. The few times they did decide talk it made sense for the story.
Ready Player One, 2018
This review may contain spoilers. Weak story and characters but the non-stop pop culture barrage was mostly fun (The Shining, Buckaroo Banzai, Chucky). I’m kind of glad there were no Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm characters, we get enough of them everywhere else.
