Madman, 1982

Great poster art, poor Friday the 13th ripoff. The hot tub scene will haunt me until the day I die.

Society, 1989

Such a weird and goopy movie. It takes forever to finally get to the fantastic final act. I love how it just ends.

The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, 2019

I didn’t know anything about Theranos before the documentary and now I can’t get enough of this wild story. Hopefully the upcoming movie or tv series covers more of the aftermath and subsequent trials.

Q, 1982

There’s a lot of waiting around until you get to that wildly entertaining finale. Cohen and Moriarty have to be one of the best director/actor combos of all time.

Glass, 2019

A really fun first 10 minutes followed by 90 minutes of almost complete boredom. And to top it all off was one of the most fascinatingly bad and misguided endings I have seen in a long time. If you liked the first two parts I guess you gotta finish it.

The Dirt, 2019

One of the most interesting stories in rock n roll told in the most boring way possible. Go watch the Behind the Music episode instead.

Us, 2019

From what I’ve read so far this seems to be a movie that people who don’t watch a lot of horror movies really love. I have seen A LOT of horror movies and I was pretty disappointed. It was way too long. Cut out Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker completely...

Bumblebee, 2018

Finally a decent Transformers movie. I can’t believe I just said that. I hope they keep the old school character designs and light tone in the eventual sequels.

Triple Frontier, 2019

I’m always a sucker for a good guys on a mission movie, and when you mix in a tense heist I’m all over that. I really enjoyed the twists and turns it took even when you know things always go wrong in a movie like this.

Aquaman, 2018

I like the character designs and the overall world but the story left much to be desired. Let’s hope they come up with a much better story for the eventual sequel.

Phantasm IV: Oblivion, 1998

I found it impressive that this movie really had nothing going on. That’s hard to do. Movies usually have stuff happening all the time. This is a hard watch for even the most diehard Phantasm fans.

The House That Jack Built, 2018

I’m not the world’s biggest Lars Von Trier fan but even I have to say this was a pretty interesting movie with some scenes that will stick with me for a while.

Captain Marvel, 2019

Solid origin movie with some cool action bits. Much like I feel about Dr. Strange, I think Captain Marvel will be utilized much better in other Marvel movies down the line.
