Countdown, 2019

A couple of clever ideas wasted in a sub-par movie. Hopefully they figure it out for v2.0.

The Old Guard, 2020

It really bugged me that these people who lived for hundreds of years were so easy to repeatedly find and capture. Seems like they should be a little smarter than that.

An American Pickle, 2020

The tone was too all over the place for me to really get behind this movie. It couldn’t decide on being a heart felt family drama or a fish out of water comedy. Seth Rogen was good in both roles tho.

Swordfish, 2001

Everything that was wrong with early 2000s action movies. Loud, ugly, and dumb.

The Go-Go’s, 2020

Warts and all history of one of the 80’s biggest bands. It is completely outrageous that they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Relic, 2020

Moody and downright creepy at times. There’s just not a lot here I haven’t seen done before.

Money Plane, 2020

Both horrible and amazing at the same time. What kind of action movie has the hero fly a plane for most of the movie while everything else is going on without him? That’s Money Plane!

Host, 2020 (contains spoilers)

This review may contain spoilers. I’m sure this is the first of many Zoom based movies heading our way. Surprisingly effective, I liked it a lot. There’s one use of a virtual background that was very clever. And it’s only 56 minutes!

The Furies, 2019

Interesting take on the girl in the woods slasher movie. I liked the idea of multiple girls and killers. Filming a horror movie during the day always gets you points in my book.

The Pool, 2018

This guy’s bad luck really challenged my suspension of disbelief. I will say it had one of the most shocking acts of violence I have ever scene against a dog.
