Evil Dead Rise, 2023 – ★★★★
Suffocatingly brutal. Tied into the Evil Dead universe but also was it’s own thing. It was great.
Missing, 2023 – ★★★
I am a sucker for gimmicks and screen life is my favorite gimmick. Pretty good plot and lots of creative ways to using the desktop and apps.
House of Many Sorrows, 2020 – ★★★
Barry J. Gillis never fails to deliver. This one will make you want to start wearing turle necks and pajama pants 24/7.
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn, 2022 – ★★★
Not nearly as awful as I was expecting after the last entry in the series. If you can ignore the obvious green screen effects you might get a few laughs.
Skinned Deep, 2004 – ★★★
Lots of weird fun to be had here. Kind of surprised there was never a sequel.
Nekromantik 2, 1991 – ★★★
Sure it’s better than the first one but there still isn’t much of anything going on for long stretches.
Gangsters, Guns and Zombies, 2012 – ★
I’ve rarely seen a movie try so hard and be this bad at the same time.
Brain Freeze, 2021 – ★★★
A refreshingly different take on zombies. That baby was a good little actor.
Detention of the Dead, 2012 – ★★★
The goofy looking rat is the only thing that saved this movie from a lower rating.
Get the Hell Out, 2020 – ★★
The first hour was a headache inducing nightmare, the last 30 minutes was bloody fun.
Eyes of the Dead, 2015 – ★★★
I like a good gimmick so the first person view was pretty cool. I give them extra credit for filming in good old Bucks County.
