See No Evil 2, 2014 – ★★
Marginally better than the first one. Everyone just needs to agree to stop trying to make Jacob Goodnight happen.

Bottom of the barrel stuff here. This was filmed during the heyday of the Torture Porn craze and I can’t believe how tame this is.
Not quite funny or bad enough to put on the same level as a Samurai Cop or Dangerous Men. Still worth checking out for the great chemistry of the two main characters.
Another in a long line of movies to try to recapture the magic of the original. I just don’t think there’s enough there to keep trying. Also trying to address school shootings in a slasher movie probably isn’t the greatest idea.
I found a lot to like in this “requel” even though I’m not a huge fan of any of the original movies.
What if the androids in Blade Runner were even more depressed? Guy Pearce deserves way better than this.
I was totally into this one until the protagonist left his apartment. I kind of lost the thread of what was happening and didn’t really care to fix that.
Kind of run of the mill screen life movie until you hit the very effective and unsettling last 20 minutes.
Pretty standard monster attacking people in a cabin movie. I did appreciate the monster design and the fact that the end took place outside in daylight.
Killer 80s metal soundtrack, creative effects, and 30 year olds playing high school students. A perfect movie for The Last Drive-In.
