Amer, 2009

Incredibly interesting throwback to the 1970s giallo films of Dario Argento. I’m sure I’ll be watching this movie many more times very soon.

I Saw the Devil, 2010

Surprisingly awesome revenge tale from the director of A TALE OF TWO SISTERS. So many great twists and turns. Seek this one out!

Hobo With A Shotgun, 2011

Real fun and bloody homage to the grindhouse movies of the 1970s. Rutger Hauer was born to play this role. And did I mention the blood?

Mystery Team, 2009

Derrick Comedy‘s first full length movie has a bunch of really funny jokes, but by 45 minutes into the movie I was ready for it to be over.

Drive Angry, 2011

Not a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it was kind fun in a goofy kind of way. Nicolas Cage sure knows how to pick them.

Kill the Irishman, 2011

I always love a good gangster movie. The always fantastic Ray Stevenson portrays the real-life 1970s Cleveland mobster Danny Greene.

Thor, 2011

Once again, just like Iron Man, the filmmakers managed to make a really fun and exciting movie about a character I could care less about.

The Green Hornet, 2011

Disappointing. I was expecting some really interesting action scenes from Michel Gondry, sadly he played everything pretty straight.

The Other Guys, 2010

Pretty funny first 15 minutes, the other 90 minutes were almost unwatchable. I should have just watched Anchorman again for the 20th time.

Sucker Punch, 2011

Zack Snyder has taken his highly stylized visuals to crazy new extremes. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for Superman.

Jackass 3D, 2010

I’m not sure what I find funnier – the actual stunts or the cast’s apprehension leading up to the stunts. I can’t wait until Jackass 4.

Battle: Los Angeles, 2011

Cool action, too many overused war movie cliches. I liked the idea of focusing on one platoon during the invasion instead of going all ID4.

Rubber, 2010

Yes, this movie is about a tire with psychic abilities, but there’s a lot more going on than one would expect from a B-grade horror movie.

Faster, 2010

I was kind of surprised by this enjoyable throwback to the revenge thrillers of the 1970s. It didn’t waste any time and just got right to it.
