1. LAST NIGHT IN SOHO
Acting, cinematography, editing, and soundtrack all perfect. Edgar Wright crafted a real masterpiece here.
2. PSYCHO GOREMAN
This movie answers the age old question of “What if GWAR made a movie?” This movie is a total blast from the beginning all the way through the 90’s style rap song that sums up the entire movie playing through the credits. Every movie could use one of those songs.
3. TITANE
One of the most bizarre and compelling movies I’ve seen in a long time.
4. DEMONIC
I really enjoyed this one. I love when science and religion mix it up. The simulation was interesting and different. And I always appreciate a movie that gets right to the point.
5. CENSOR
Terrific debut feature. It’s like this movie was made for me. I eagerly await Bailey-Bond’s next movie.
6. PIG
Somber Cage really does a great job here. What you think is going to go the typical revenge movie route turns into something quite heartfelt and sad.
7. BENEDETTA
Paul Verhoeven is one of the few directors out there I will stop everything to watch their latest film. I’m happy he finally got to make his long promised religious epic. He’s still got it.
8. COME TRUE
I am such a sucker for type of thing. Give me a sci-fi movie about dreams and I’m there.
9. MALIGNANT
You can tell James Wan is having a lot of fun here. The last 20 minutes are great but it just takes so long to get there.
